The Disaster Fund lets the British Red Cross respond wherever the need is greatest, in the UK and around the world: emergency food, clean water, blankets, shelter, first aid and support for people whose lives have been turned upside down by floods, fires, conflict and other disasters.
The British Red Cross is part of the world's largest humanitarian network, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Founded in 1870, it helps people in crisis across the UK and overseas, whoever and wherever they are: from emergency response and refugee support to first aid education and care in communities.
